Two brands, one company

Scorpion AI Tooling builds websites and handles SEO and local marketing for small businesses. Scorpion AI Software builds bespoke systems and AI integrations for organisations commissioning engineering work. Same company, same people, same registered entity. The split is there so that neither audience has to read past the other's offering to find their own.

Both are trading brands of Scorpion AI Tooling Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17336409.

Founder led

The business was founded and is run by Sam Hutchinson. When you send an enquiry it is read by the person who would do the work, not passed through an account manager first. That is the main practical difference between working with us and working with an agency, and it cuts both ways: you get direct answers and short decision chains, and you get a small supplier rather than a large one.

We say that plainly rather than dressing it up, because it is the first thing a serious buyer should be weighing. Our answer to it is on the how we build page: the work is built to be handed over, the source is yours, and the accounts are in your name.

Where we are

Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Software and AI work is delivered remotely to organisations across the United Kingdom. In-person work, including the AI enablement walkthrough, is available within reasonable travelling distance, and we will say so rather than quietly adding travel to a quote if you are further out.

How we got here

The five tools under Software were not built as portfolio pieces. Each one started as a real operational problem, either ours or a customer's, and the back office we run this business on is one of them. Building software you then have to live with every day teaches you things that building software you hand over and never see again does not.
